PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY CHARGES OR FEES FOR VISA OR PASSPORT TRANSFERRED IN ERROR ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
FOR THIS REASON, THE EMBASSY ASKS YOU TO BE SURE BEFORE YOU MAKE TRANSFER PAYMENTS FOR SERVICES AND TO SEEK CLARIFICATION IF NOT SURE.

To apply for the standard Nigerian E-passport or a reissue (RENEWAL) of an expiring/expired one, you will need to do the following:
Visit this website: www.immigration.gov.ng
Click on “e-passport application form”; select “Standard Passport”. Login through a google or yahoo email address
fill the forms, submit online and print out
Proceed to payment and pay the passport fee which will be indicated in Dollars with your Visa or Master card; All payment must be made online. Bank transfers are not acceptable in this particular case, please. Only the administrative charges of €40 (for those coming with their old passports) and €200 for those coming without any old passport) are transferred into the Embassy’s account. This administrative charge is different from the passport fee which you pay online within Dollars with the credit card.
Print out confirmation of payment and acknowledgement slip.
Other requirements for passport
Passport Guarantor Form
Download the passport guarantor form from the same website as above, print the two pages of the guarantor form and get the guarantor’s form completed by a guarantor who must be an adult Nigerian
Attach a passport photograph of the guarantor in the provided column on page 1
Attach a copy of the data page of the guarantor’s Nigerian passport to the duly completed and signed guarantor form
Proof of the payment of administrative charges into the Deutsche Bank account of the Nigerian Embassy 40 Euros for children and also for adults who will bring along the original copies of their old passports and 200 Euros for those coming without the original copies of their old passports
Two passport photographs
Photocopy of birth certificate or statutory Declaration of Age
Photocopies of page 1, data page and visa page on the old passport. If the visa is on a separate card, please photocopy the front and back pages of the card
Additional Requirement for Children:
A letter of consent written and signed by the biological father and the biological mother with copies of the data pages of their passports
Where only one party has custody rights, please bring proof of sole (100%) custody rights from the Court or Youth Welfare Office (Jugend Amt).
Additional Requirements for non-residents (i.e. those who are not officially resident in Germany)
A letter of introduction from the Embassy in the country they live in. If there is no Embassy of Nigeria in that country, they should get the letter from the Embassy covering that country (e.g. The Nigerian Embassy in Sweden currently covers most of the Scandinavian countries)
